Lodi Sandhill Crane Festival
November 2 - 4, 2019 (3 days) |
Lodi, CA
In addition to painting, I love to fold paper cranes and embellish them. I have had a booth at the Sandhill Crane Festival for ten years now and love meeting the public so much. I have always been interested in protecting the environment and love birds. The crane festival brings in many people who love birds and I so much enjoy sharing my origami paper cranes with them.

The Paper Crane is a symbol of peace and love and given as a wish for good health. I fold my paper cranes with beautiful hand silk screened Washi paper from Japan. They are then embellished with beads and other embellishments. I make ornaments, mobiles, necklaces and earrings.

Most of the events are free and educational. You can take tours out to see the cranes with a naturalist who will explain their habits. See the website to book a tour and come see me at my booth. I sometimes have small paintings on display as well.
