#856 Blooming Almond Orchards in the Foothills This is the view from a top a hill outside Modesto in the Central Valley of California in early March. The hills are covered in almond orchards and the fragrance is amazing! Those are the snow coverd Sierra Mountains in the distance. It was a beautiful day when my friends and I had the chance to get out and paint this scene.
