#438 "Mission Bells, San Juan Bautista" San Juan Bautista mission was founded on June 24, 1797 by the Franciscan order. The mission was the fifteenth and largest of the Spanish missions established in present-day California. I was fascinated by the light from behind the bell tower lighting up the bell openings and the sculptures in the garden as I painted this scene on location at the mission. Also available as a 10" x 8" print. See my PRINTS & REPRODUCTIONS PAGE. #438 "Mission Bells, San Juan Bautista" San Juan Bautista mission was founded on June 24, 1797 by the Franciscan order.
