#793 Mallard Ducks at Carmel River Marsh I have painted at Carmel River State Beach Park many times and always enjoy the many flocks of birds in the marsh along the river. I especially love the mallard ducks with their green heads. This day the sun was near sunset and the distant mountains were aglow with bright magenta. This was worked with PanPastels, pastel pencils and stick pastels. The second photo shows this piece in progress.
