#171 Spring Flowers at Red Hills Red Hills is one of my favorite places in the foothills. It is a short road heading toward Chinese Camp. The Bureau of Land Management has designated it an area of critical environmental concern (ACEC). The soil is very unique there allowing certain flowers to bloom in great abundance each spring. It is a wonderful place for an artist to paint. The second photo shows how this painting might look framed. Note cards are also available on my gallery card page.
