#803 Spring Pride This painting was started on location along the California coast in Pacific Grove. It was a typical overcast day. This scene on the coast path is near Lover's Point looking toward the Monterey Bay Aquarium. I was not able to finish it that day and continued working on it in my studio. The plant is called Pride of Madeira and has these wonderfully tall purple blooms in the Spring.
